Lee Vann

Technician

Lee was born and raised in Texas, originally from a small town south of Waco. She was raised in a metaphoric barn with chickens, geese, dogs, cats, cows, horses, and even a domesticated raccoon– Big Momma. Always having a love for animals, when they found their way to Austin in 2015, they started volunteering at the Austin Animal Shelter. After a brief intermission of working with animals, she found herself professionally dog training. After a traumatic event that involved the hospitalization of her own dog, Sam, Lee decided she wanted to be a part of the bigger picture and venture into veterinary medicine.

They were warmly welcomed by the team at Paz in 2023. Instantaneously feeling pride and purpose, Lee quickly flourished and became a certified Fear Free Veterinary Technician Assistant.

Lee has a special affinity for anxious and older animals. They love hiking (unfortunately, her mesocephalic senior pup can’t hang,) live music, dive bars, drag shows, skateboarding, plants, traveling to colder climates, and video games. Lee is also a current ACC student and has high hopes of joining the dark side and becoming a small animal veterinarian… eventually!
